Our day to day work as Associates of the Institute for Independent Business is focused on helping our clients - who are typically managing directors or owners of independent (mainly small and medium sized) businesses. If this describes you, we exist to help people like you, their businesses, and their staff.
In fact, we are passionate about helping owners of independent businesses, and their teams. As a business owner, you are very welcome to visit the public pages of this website, as we hope it will help give you a greater insight into what we do. Of course, if you need more information or specific help, please ask your accredited Associate.
If you are not currently working with one of our colleagues, having an advisor accredited by the Institute for Independent Business work with you, is like having a board of directors with a team of specialists on tap, whenever you need it, to help you.
Although often referred to as consultants, we don't operate like traditional consultancy groups. We believe in doing, not telling. We know from personal experience that owners of independent businesses are busy people, often with stretched resources, and need more than just an advisor. So we stand ready to roll up our sleeves and help with practical advice that works™. When the analysis is done and the path is plain to see, that's when our job in helping you really begins - to implement what needs to be done. We'll stay with you to help make it work, for as long as you need us to.
Your accredited Associate is a gateway to Associates locally, nationally and around the world. Advisors, coaches, and consultants can make a terrific impact in helping you to achieve your goals. Uniquely we have the ability to help kick-start and develop your business through our network of Associates. With thousands of experienced business professionals having been trained and accredited by the IIB, we each individually connect with our colleagues and their:
It is phenomenal - the largest and most powerful resource of its type in the world. The Institute facilitates it, but we are very proud to say that we are the network of Associates. It operates by Associates for Associates, the very reason why IIB Regional Groups exist.
We will be very pleased to arrange an Associate local to you to explain what we do and how we may be able to help you and your business, through the IIB Business Support Program™.
To give something back to the local business community, as part of our accreditation we commit to the Institute that we will provide some of our time free of charge to help local businesses. So simply contact IIB Regional Groups for information and we will arrange a meeting for you.
It will be a chance for you to chat confidentially with another experienced business person about your concerns, challenges, and opportunities.
Important - please note: If you're looking to buy something you may be disappointed! There's no charge for the meeting, it is without any obligation. There will be no hassle and definitely no high-pressure sales.
In fact, if we cannot help you, we are bound by our Code of Ethics to say so, and we'll part company as friends.
Business owners often tell us that it is the first time they have ever had a conversation like it. Focused on how to move forward, and not on buying a product or service. We don't know what the conversation will be until we meet, we have no products and no 'out of the box' solutions to sell. But we may just hold the key to unlock greater potential for you and your team.
